Bathing Babies in the Kitchen Sink is Stirring Controversy Among People

There is something that many people do, and perhaps they do it because their parents did it or they may see others doing it. It is also something that is controversial among some, and they are speaking out against it.

It’s a question that frequently arises, can I put my baby in the sink to give him or her a bath? Perhaps it is something that you don’t really give much thought to or perhaps you have thought about it, and wonder if it is okay to do so.

First of all, there is a reason why many people use the kitchen sink to give their baby a bath. It is convenient and in many cases, it is the perfect size.

Perhaps you might only have a shower in the bathroom, and that is not going to be the right choice for a little baby as well. Then again, it may just be a tradition you are following because of what you saw your mother or grandmother do.

Just because it is a common thing to do, does not necessarily mean that it should be done without giving any thought to it. After all, you want to provide the safest environment for your little baby, so there are decisions to make.

First of all, consider whether it is better to give the baby a bath in the kitchen sink or to fill up a baby bath and use it. Some people may feel that the sink is the best way to go, just for convenience or because they don’t have room for a baby bath.

In addition, when you use a sink to give your baby a bath, you are going to be using less water. This is a good environmental decision and it is good for your wallet as well.

If you do decide to use the kitchen sink as a baby bath, then you have to be careful that you are doing so properly. Not only do you want to clean the sink thoroughly before you use it for the bath, you also want to clean it thoroughly before you use it for washing dishes again.

You can choose the cleaning supplies that work best for you but in the end, it’s a choice that you will have to make. You may be judged for it, but then again you could just keep it to yourself.
